North Weald Classic Bikes 2006
Now as the missus says, if we are willing to travel all over the country to take part in Bike shows then we should at least support the local events.  Enclosed is a collage of photo's to give a feel of the event, most of the classic racing is sprint based as this venue is an airfield, but we were treated to a parade run by some classic racers in including an incredibly loud Honda 4.
It's always a good idea to take some snaps of the Enfields in the car park, the bike on the right has suffered the usual Royal Enfield malady - the horn bracket has fractured - see the close up below.
When I first caught sight of the Royal Enfield script on a tank queuing for the start line of the 1/4 mile i started to get very excited - time to show just what a sorted Interceptor can do.

Then I saw the motor - Triumph........

The Jap in the foreground with the serious rider has to be my favorite of the day - ridgid rear end, open pipe and uprated forks and front brake - running down the track at full bore produced a cloud of Castrol R fumes that put all the 2 strokes to shame - wow!
I thought I would leave my favorite bike 'till the last so here it is - a JAP 350, I'm lost for words......
Somehow I don't think Brenda was taking this sprinting mularky too seriously.
